Exterior construction
The floor, walls and roof systems are complete. Plywood or oriented strand board sheathing is applied to the exterior walls and roof, windows and exterior doors are installed.
Exterior construction refers to the process of building and finishing the exterior of a structure, such as a building or a home. This involves a range of activities, including site preparation, foundation work, framing, roofing, siding, and the installation of windows and doors. Exterior construction also includes the finishing touches, such as painting, landscaping, and the installation of outdoor fixtures such as lights and mailboxes.
Site preparation involves clearing and leveling the land, as well as preparing the foundation for the structure. This may involve excavating the site and laying a concrete slab or foundation.
Framing involves constructing the skeleton of the structure using wood or steel beams. Once the framing is complete, the roofing and siding can be installed to protect the building from the elements.
Windows and doors are then installed, along with any necessary exterior finishes such as trim, flashing, and sealant.
Finally, the exterior is painted or otherwise finished to create a cohesive look that matches the design and style of the building. Landscaping and outdoor fixtures are also installed to complete the overall aesthetic of the structure.
